It is also a narrow street with limited curb space, which is worth knowing when twenty people are boarding.
Sixth Street and Red River, as it gets louder
The corridor east of Congress is the loudest part of the night and it is better later. Red River is the live-music version of the same stretch.

The West End, for a different register
West of Congress runs calmer and more bar-focused, and it is the right call for a group that wants to hear each other. It also works as the last stop when Sixth has done its job.

Book five hours, not four
A night described as four hours reliably runs five once you count the last person boarding, a dinner that goes long, and nobody wanting the coach to leave at 11:45. The extra hour is always available in advance and frequently is not at midnight, because the coach is committed to another group after you.

Can the bus wait while we are inside?
That is the point of it. The coach stays with the group for the block you booked, so there is no parking, no ride to arrange between stops and nothing to move at the end of the night.
What time should we start?
Rainey is best early, so a pickup between 7 and 8pm works well if you are having dinner first. Groups going straight into the districts often start later and book four hours instead of five.
Can we drink on board between stops?
Yes, for passengers twenty-one and over. If anyone in the group is under twenty-one, the booking is arranged alcohol-free and confirmed in writing beforehand.
Do you drop everyone home at the end?
Yes, within your booked hours and your service area. Tell us the drop addresses when you book rather than at 1am, because the order we do them in affects how long it takes.
What if we want to change bars on the night?
Fine — the coach is yours for the block, so tell the driver. The only thing that costs extra is running past your booked hours, and whether that is possible depends on what is behind you on the calendar.
